وقتی که مسیحیان به هند رسیدند از هندوها پرسیدند انجیل مقدس شما چیست؟ اما هندوها اصلا اهل کتاب نبودند و از سر ضرورت کتاب <<بهاگاواد گیتا>> را پدید و آوردند که فی ذاته کتابی است که پاسخگوی بسیاری نیازهای مذهبی نیست. بعد پرسیدند مفهوم تثلیث (Trinity)مسیحیت (یعنی عیسی، مسیح و روح القدس) در نزد شما کدام است؟ و اینگونه بود که هرما عرضه شد گرچه مفهومی غیر از تثلیث داشت. به همین ترتیب بود که در رابطه این دو کیش در هند مرزهای ادیان کاتولیک و هندو شکسته شد. مثلا یکی از کسانی که بدنبال قدیس ساختن مادر ترزا است می گوید ببینید چگونه مزار او همیشه <<تکریم آمیز>> است . یعنی از وازگان هندوی venerated برای تبیین مفهومی کاتولیک استفاده می کند.
بهمین ترتیب باوجود تمام تاکیدی که در قانون اساسی هند بر جدائی دین و دولت هست <<جشن استقلال>> هند در رد فورت یک جشن تقریبا مذهبی است. و مرز مذهب و سکولاریسم در آن شکسته می شود.

از اصول اولیه تاریخ نویسی این است که مورخ باید بی طرف باشد. ا objective (علمی و بدون نظر خصوصی) بنویسد و نه سوبژکتیو subjective (وابسته بطرز تفکر شخصی).

silly me. so I decided to watch the debate tonight despite studying for my big exam. I tried nbc, cnn, cspan, cbs, pbs, msnbc, finaly fox, etc. But none of them had it online (remember, I don't have a tv). So I go to BBC to read the news, like I always do. And yes. Right there on the first page I see the link for the debate.
