Relativity and quantum

If relativity theory is correct no object can travel forward in time at a speed greater than the speed of light. Yet in quantum mechanics we learn that that the tachyon (a hypothetical particle that travels at superluminal velocity) travels faster than light. Therefore if the theory of relativity is correct, either quantum mechanic’s prediction about tachyons is invalid or tachyons travel backward in time.
